Getting Started
Attach the Camera Strap: To reduce the risk of dropping the camera, attach and use the provided camera strap.
Charging the Battery: The battery is not fully charged. Connect the battery to the charger, plug into the outlet. Charging time is 2 hours.
Inserting the Battery: Ensure the camera is powered off. Open the compartment at the bottom, insert the battery with the correct orientation, and secure the compartment.
Inserting an SD/SDHC Memory Card: Ensure the camera is powered off. Open the compartment, insert the SD/SDHC card with metallic connectors facing front until it clicks. Close the compartment.
Understanding the LCD Screen
The LCD monitor displays camera settings and the image. The display is called the On Screen Display (OSD). Different modes (Photo, Video, Playback) have distinct screen layouts with various icons indicating camera status and settings.
Recording Photos, Video and Voices
Taking Photos: Use the Shutter button. Features include zoom, flash, focus modes, and exposure settings.
Recording Videos: Use the Mode Selector Switch to Video Mode and the Shutter button to start/stop recording.
Troubleshooting and error codes

| LCD screen displays 'File locked' | This file is locked. Unlock the file. |
| LCD screen displays 'Card locked'. | The memory card is protected. Remove the card and slide the write-protect switch to it's unlock position. |
