Basic Operations

Turning On/Off: Flip out the LCD panel to turn on the camera. Press the Power Button for one second or return the LCD to its original position to turn off.

Taking Pictures: Press the Picture Shutter Button.

Recording Movies: Press the Movie Shutter Button to start and stop recording.

Playback: Press the RECORD/PLAY mode toggle and RETURN Button to switch to Playback Mode. Use Direction Buttons to navigate and the OK Button to view.

Settings: Use the OK Button to enter the menu and Direction Buttons to navigate and adjust settings like Resolution, Stabilization, Scene, White Balance, and ISO.

Zoom: Use the Tele/Wide Buttons to zoom in/out.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Issue Solution
LCD image not clear Switch between Macro and Normal Mode. Macro Mode for distances about 20 cm, Normal Mode for distances beyond 200cm.
Memory card files not displaying smoothly (! marking) SD card is low speed or has wrong content. Format SD card using the camera or use a higher speed SD/SDHC card.
Indoor pictures blurry and dark Camera extends exposure time in low light. Keep camera and subject steady.
Battery charging Use supplied AC charger or USB cable. Camera must be OFF. Blinking light indicates charging; solid light indicates completion.
