Refer to the warranty document included with your HP iPAQ for more information on warranty coverage.
The TodayPanel displays icons or text bars for quick access to today settings, options, battery power, storage and program memory, iPAQ File Store usage, and backlight settings. You can customize its display mode to icons or compact text. To select which items appear on the Today screen, navigate to Start > Settings > Today > Items tab.
Migrating data involves transferring Palm data to Microsoft Outlook, then using ActiveSync to synchronize with your HP iPAQ. This process requires installing Outlook 2002, inserting the Palm device's CD, synchronizing with HotSync, uninstalling HotSync, installing ActiveSync, creating an ActiveSync partnership, and finally synchronizing your HP iPAQ with Outlook.
To synchronize files, open ActiveSync on your PC, go to Tools > Options, and check the 'Files' box. A Synchronized Files folder will be created. Copy files into this folder to transfer them to your iPAQ. Synchronization occurs automatically when the iPAQ is in the cradle or on connection.
The SIM card enables phone features. It must be inserted into the SIM slot under the battery. Align the notched corner of the SIM card with the slot and slide it in with metal contacts facing down. To remove, open the SIM slot, push the card out with a stylus, and remove the battery cover.
Your HP iPAQ manages storage automatically but offers manual options. You can change storage settings, stop running programs, remove unused programs, or use iPAQ File Store for permanent storage. Optional expansion cards (SD, Mini-SD) can also maximize memory capacity.
