Using the HP E3631A Power Supply

This manual explains the basic functions of the HP E3631A triple output power supply. It covers obtaining the correct cables, connecting the outputs, and setting voltage and current values for different output modes (0-6V, 0-25V, and -25V-0V).

Key Operations:

  • Powering On: Depress the power switch on the lower left.
  • Selecting Output Mode: Use the "Function" buttons (+6V, +25V, -25V).
  • Setting Voltage/Current: Use the left/right arrows to select digits and the circular knob to adjust values. The output must be turned off before setting to zero and then turned on again.
  • Connecting Outputs: Connect positive cables to red posts and negative/ground cables to black posts, as indicated for each output mode.
  • Troubleshooting: Press "Display Limit" if readings disappear. Adjust current by pressing "Voltage/Current" and using the adjustment controls.
