How to Operate Your Tractor

Starting the Engine: Ensure the tractor is on level ground, depress the brake pedal, set the parking brake, and have the attachment clutch disengaged. Move the throttle to choke position and turn the ignition key to START. Once the engine starts, move the throttle to the fast position for warm weather starting, or allow the engine to warm up for cold weather starting.

Moving Forward and Backward: Release the parking brake and slowly depress the forward (K) or reverse (L) drive pedal. Ground speed increases with pedal depression.

Using Cruise Control: For forward travel on smooth surfaces, set the desired speed, pull up the cruise control lever, and release the forward pedal. To disengage, depress the brake pedal or tap the forward pedal.

Adjusting Cutting Height: Use the attachment lift lever (A) to select the desired cutting height (approx. 1" to 4").

Stopping: To stop mower blades, disengage the attachment clutch. To stop ground drive, depress the brake pedal fully. To stop the engine, move the throttle to half or full speed, turn the ignition key to STOP, and remove the key.
