TRACTOR OPERATION
Before operating your tractor, read and understand the owner's manual and safety rules. Familiarize yourself with all controls and their functions.
Starting the Engine:
- Ensure the freewheel control is in the engaged position.
- Sit on the seat, depress the brake pedal, and set the parking brake.
- Move the attachment clutch to "DISENGAGED" and throttle to fast.
- For a cold engine, pull the choke control out. For a warm engine, the choke may not be needed.
- Turn the ignition key to "START" and release when the engine starts.
- Follow warm or cold weather starting procedures as applicable.
Stopping the Tractor:
- To stop mower blades, push the attachment clutch switch to "DISENGAGED".
- To stop ground drive, depress the brake pedal fully.
- Move throttle control to fast position.
- Turn ignition key to "STOP" and remove the key.
Moving Forward and Backward:
- Use the forward (K) and reverse (L) drive pedals. Ground speed increases as the pedal is depressed further.
- Make turns slowly and gradually.
Mowing Tips:
- Ensure the mower is properly leveled.
- Mow at full throttle for best performance.
- Adjust ground speed to suit the terrain and desired cut quality.
- Do not mow wet grass.
