Welcome to iPhone: Press and hold the On/Off button to turn on your iPhone and follow onscreen instructions for setup.
Button basics: Press and hold On/Off to turn off/restart. Press On/Off once to silence screen. Press Home to return to Home screen. Double-click Home to switch between apps.
Make a call: Tap a phone number or use the Keypad. Press On/Off once to silence, twice to send to voicemail. Answer with headset by pressing the center button.

Intelligent keyboard: iPhone auto-corrects and suggests words. Tap space bar to accept suggestion. Double-tap word to look up. Tap Microphone for dictation.
Cut, copy, and paste: Touch and hold text to select, then tap Copy or Cut. Use grab points to adjust selection. Tap Paste to insert copied text.
Notifications: Appear briefly at the top. Swipe down for summary. Slide notification icon to the right from Lock screen to respond.
Siri: Bring iPhone to ear or hold Home button. Speak naturally after the tone. Ask Siri for various tasks.
Camera: Double-click Home or tap Camera icon. Tap screen to adjust focus/exposure. Tap Camera button or Volume Up to take picture. Set switch to Video to record.
Photos: Tap Photos icon to view pictures. Flick to navigate, double-tap or pinch to zoom. Edit, share, or print photos. Photo Stream automatically pushes new pictures.
Video and song controls: Tap screen to show controls. Tap AirPlay to stream to Apple TV. Access audio controls from Lock screen.
See the web up close: Double-tap elements on web page to zoom. Rotate for widescreen. Tap Reader button for clutter-free view. Flick through pages using Multi-page button.
Find location. Search surroundings: Tap Location button to see position. Tap again for compass view. Search for places by typing keywords. Double-tap to zoom, two-finger tap to zoom out. Get directions or tap Page Curl for map views.
Create folders. Organize apps: Touch and hold app icons until they jiggle. Drag one app onto another to create a folder. Rename folders. Drag apps/folders to organize Home screen.
App Store: Browse and download apps. Search by category or name. Tap Buy Now to purchase or download. Many apps are free.
iTunes Store: Access for music, movies, TV shows. Browse, purchase, and download. Hear or see previews.
iCloud: Stores music, photos, apps, etc. Syncs across devices. Turn on Photo Stream in Settings > iCloud. Download previously purchased items.
