  • Transmitter Setup: Connect the transmitter to an audio source (TV, audio amplifier, etc.) using the provided audio input cord. Plug the AC adaptor into the transmitter and then into a power outlet. The transmitter powers on automatically when an audio signal is detected.
  • Headphone Setup: Ensure the rechargeable Ni-Cd batteries are fully charged. Turn on the headphones' power switch.
  • Connection: Place the transmitter and headphones within the specified range (up to 100m/328ft in open areas).
  • Tuning: Adjust the TUNING control on the transmitter if necessary. Use the AUTO TUNING switch on the headphones to automatically find the correct frequency. The STEREO indicator on the headphones will light up green when a signal is received.
  • Volume Adjustment: Adjust the volume using the volume control on the headphones and the connected AV equipment.
  • After Use: Turn off the headphones' power. Keep the headphones' power off.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Symptoms Cause Remedy
No sound. Is the transmitter's power OFF? Check the connection of the transmitter.
Is the headphones' power OFF? Turn the power on the connected AV equipment ON and start playing.
Is the battery in the headphones exhausted? Turn on the headphones' power. (The indicator lights.)
Is the volume of the headphones set to the minimum level? Fully charge the headphones.
Is the volume of the connected AV equipment set to the minimum level? Adjust the volume of the head- phones to the appropriate level.
No sound from the R-channel. Is the transmitter connected to equipment with monaural audio output? Raise the volume level of the connected AV equipment as high as possible without causing distortion.
Connect them with an optional plug adaptor. (Converts monaural audio output to stereo audio output.)
Distorted sound. Is the battery in the headphones exhausted? Fully charge the headphones.
Is the volume of the connected AV equipment set too high? Adjust the volume level of the connected AV equipment as high as possible without causing distortion.
Noisy sound. Is the battery in the headphones exhausted? Fully charge the headphones.
Are the frequency modulation signals being received correctly? Push the AUTO TUNING switch on the headphones or turn the TUNING controls on the transmit- ter to adjust them until the headphones' indicator lights in green.
Is the volume of the connected AV equipment set too low? Adjust the volume level of the connected AV equipment as high as possible without causing distortion.
Battery charging is impossible. Are the headphones too far away from the transmitter? Use them within the range the frequency modulation signal can reach. (Refer to page 8.)
Has the rechargeable Ni-Cd battery expired? Replace it with a new Ni-Cd battery. Please consult your dealer for replacement.
