Power sources

  • When unplugging, pull the plug, not the cord.
  • DO NOT handle the AC power cord with wet hands.

Moisture condensation

May occur in certain conditions. Leave the unit on for a few hours if this happens.

  • If metallic object or liquid falls into the unit, consult dealer.
  • Unplug for extended periods of non-use.
  • DO NOT disassemble the unit.

Installation

  • Install in a level, dry place (5°C-35°C).
  • Ensure adequate ventilation.
  • Keep speakers away from TV.
  • DO NOT install near heat sources, direct sunlight, dust, or vibration.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Symptom Possible Cause Action
Unit does not turn on. AC power cord is not plugged in. Plug into the wall outlet.
No sound is heard. Connections are incorrect or loose. Check all connections and make necessary corrections.
Headphones are connected. Disconnect headphones from the PHONES jack.
Poor radio reception. Antennas are disconnected. Reconnect the antennas firmly.
AM loop antenna is too close to the unit. Change the position and direction of the AM loop antenna.
FM wire antenna is not properly extended and positioned. Extend the FM antenna and orient it for best reception.
Disc will not play. Disc is inserted upside down. Place the disc with the label side facing up.
Cannot record. Tabs on the back of the cassette have been removed. Cover the holes with adhesive tape.
Operations are disabled. Internal microprocessor is not functioning due to external electrical interference. Disconnect the AC power cord and then reconnect it.
Cannot operate with remote control. Path between remote control and remote sensor is blocked. Remove the obstruction.
Batteries are dead. Replace the batteries.
Remote control is used too far from the unit. Move closer to the unit.
