Power: The camcorder has a 2-way power supply system using either an AC adapter or a battery pack. Charging the battery pack involves connecting the AC adapter and waiting for the CHARGE lamp to indicate completion. Battery life varies by model and usage (LCD on/viewfinder on). When detaching the power source, ensure the camcorder is turned off.
Grip Adjustment: Adjust the grip for comfortable operation of buttons and levers.
Viewfinder Adjustment: Adjust the viewfinder using the Diopter Adjustment Control for a clear image.
Strap Attachment: Attach the shoulder strap by threading it through the eyelets.
Tripod Mounting: Mount the camcorder on a tripod using the mounting socket and screw, ensuring the legs are extended for stability.
Date/Time Settings: Set the date and time via the menu system for accurate recording.
Loading/Unloading Cassette: Insert or remove the Mini DV cassette by opening the cassette holder cover.
Recording Mode: Select between SP (Standard Play) and LP (Long Play) modes via the menu.
Memory Card: The camcorder supports SD Memory Cards and MultiMediaCards. Ensure the card is properly inserted. The Picture Quality mode (FINE/STANDARD) can be selected via the menu.

| A. DUB ERROR! | Appears if Audio Dubbing is attempted on a blank portion of a tape, in LP mode, or in 16-bit audio. Also appears if the remote control's A. DUB button is pressed when the erase protection tab is set to "SAVE". |
