Basic Recording:
Ensure date/time is set. Select operation mode to "A". Pull out viewfinder or open LCD monitor. Press START/STOP to begin recording. Press START/STOP again to stop. Push back viewfinder or close LCD monitor to end recording.
Recording from Middle of Tape:
Set Power Dial to PLAY/PAUSE. Pull out viewfinder or open LCD monitor. Press ►/II to start search, then ◄◄ or ►► to find desired spot. Press ►/II to engage Still mode. Turn Power Dial to any mode except PLAY/OFF, then press START/STOP to record.
Date/Time Settings:
Set Power Dial to "M" and press lock button. Open LCD monitor. Press MENU to access Recording Menu. Move to "TO DATE/TIME MENU" and press Select Dial. Move to "DATE/TIME" and press Select Dial. Adjust Day, Month, Year, Hour, Minute using Select Dial.

Appears when Audio Dubbing is unavailable. (pg. 65) • Appears when Insert Editing is unavailable. (pg. 66) The error indications (E01 – E07) show what type of malfunction has occurred. When an error indication appears, the camcorder turns off automatically. Press the reset button after removing the power supply (battery, etc.), and wait a few minutes for the indication to clear. When it does, you can resume using the camcorder. If the indication remains, consult your nearest JVC dealer. (pg. 71) |
