The camera recorder has three operation modes: Camera mode, Media mode, and Remote Edit mode. Camera mode is for shooting, Media mode for playback and deletion of recorded clips, and Remote Edit mode for editing clip data via a web browser. The camera starts in Camera mode when powered on. In Camera mode, images are output to the viewfinder and LCD monitor, and "STBY" appears when a recordable media is inserted. The recording can be started by pressing the [REC] trigger button. Media mode allows playback and deletion of clips. Remote Edit mode enables clip list display and editing via a web browser on a smartphone, tablet, or PC.
