Getting Started:

  • Charge the battery pack before first use (Page 5).
  • Insert a commercially available SD card before recording (Page 6).
  • Set the date and time (Page 7).

Recording Video:

  • Open the lens cover.
  • Ensure the recording mode is set to video and Intelligent Auto (Page 8).
  • Press START/STOP to begin recording. Press again to stop.

Recording Still Images:

  • Ensure the recording mode is set to still image.
  • Half-press the SNAPSHOT button to focus, then press fully to take the photo (Page 9).

Playback:

  • Select video or still image mode, then tap PLAY to enter playback mode.
  • Tap the desired file to play back (Page 9).

Connecting to TV:

  • Connect using HDMI or AV cable.
  • Turn on the camera and TV, then select the correct TV input (Page 10).

Troubleshooting and error codes

Trouble Cause/Solution
Unit does not function
  • Reset the unit by turning off power, removing and reattaching AC adapter and battery pack, then turning on.
  • Refer to the "Troubleshooting" section in the "Detailed User Guide" for more information.
Battery Pack issues
  • Do not burn, short-circuit, disassemble, or expose to extreme temperatures.
  • Use only specified chargers.
  • Keep terminals away from metallic objects.
  • Charge within 10°C to 35°C (50°F to 95°F).
Recording Medium issues
  • Do not bend, drop, or subject to pressure or vibrations.
  • Avoid water exposure.
  • Do not use in areas with static electricity or electrical noise.
  • Do not turn off power or remove accessories during operation.
  • Keep away from magnetic fields.
  • Do not store in high temperature/humidity.
LCD Monitor issues
  • Do not push or shock the LCD monitor.
  • Do not place the camcorder with the LCD monitor facing down.
  • Avoid rubbing with coarse cloth.
  • Minor pixel variations are normal and not a malfunction.
