Charging the Battery Pack:

Attach the battery pack to the unit, connect the AC adapter, and plug it into a power outlet. The charging lamp indicates the charging status.

Grip Adjustment: Flip the grip belt over, adjust its length, and fasten it properly for a secure hold.

Using the Hand Strap: Loop the hand strap around your wrist for better control and to prevent drops.

Inserting a microSD Card: Turn off the unit, open the card slot cover, and insert a microSD card with the metal contact area facing outward.

Clock Setting: Open the LCD monitor, select "YES" to set the date and time, adjust the values using the slider and buttons, and select your region.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Issue Solution
Battery Pack: Unable to turn on the power when using the battery pack. Recharge the battery pack. If terminals are dirty, clean them. Use only JVC battery packs for safety and performance.
Short usage time even after charging. Battery deterioration may occur. Replace the battery pack.
Unable to charge the battery pack. Check charging lamp status. Clean terminals if dirty. Use original battery packs to prevent damage.
The remaining battery display is not correct. May occur with prolonged use in extreme temperatures or frequent charging.
Recording/snapshot cannot be performed. Check START/STOP switch. Set to recording mode. Check the A/M mode.
Recording stops automatically. Unit stops after 12+ consecutive hours or due to overheating. Insert microSD card and set media to "SD" if HDD is malfunctioning.
The image stabilizer does not work. Does not work when recording still images.
The continuous shooting speed of still images is slow. Speed may drop with repeated use, depending on the microSD card or recording conditions.
The focus is not adjusted automatically. Adjust focus manually in dark or low-contrast scenes. Use Focus Assist. Clean the lens.
Digital zoom does not work. Digital zoom is not available for still image recording or time-lapse shooting. Set "ZOOM" in menu to "60x", "80x", or "200x".
Vertical lines appear on recorded images. This is not a malfunction; occurs with brightly lit subjects.
Mosaic-type noise occurs with fast movements or extreme brightness changes. Set "VIDEO QUALITY" to "UXP" or "XP".
Card: Cannot insert the microSD card. Ensure correct orientation.
Unable to copy to microSD card. Perform media settings ("REC MEDIA FOR VIDEO"/"IMAGE"). Format the card if previously used on other devices ("FORMAT SD CARD").
Playback: Sound or video is interrupted. Interruption at scene connections is not a malfunction.
Cannot find a recorded file. Cancel group display and date search. Check "REC MEDIA FOR VIDEO"/"IMAGE" settings. Use "PLAYBACK OTHER FILE" for damaged files.
No date/time display. Set "ON-SCREEN DISPLAY" and "DISPLAY ON TV" to "ON".
Images do not appear on the TV properly. Disconnect and reconnect cable. Turn unit off and on again.
Images are projected vertically on the TV. Set "VIDEO OUTPUT" to "4:3". Adjust TV screen.
Unable to delete file. Protected files cannot be deleted. Release protection.
Unable to play back DVD with title. This may occur when connecting to a DVD writer.
