Getting Started:

  • Clock Setting: Set date and time before recording.
  • Recording:
    • Auto Mode: Camera adjusts settings automatically.
    • Manual Mode: Allows manual control of settings.
    • Scenes of Intelligent Auto: Camera detects and optimizes settings for various scenes.
  • Playback: View recorded videos and still images.
  • Troubleshooting: Covers common issues like charging problems, display errors, and file management.
  • Maintenance: Regular cleaning is recommended, especially after use in dusty or wet conditions.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Problem Cause/Solution
Unit does not turn on
  • Battery power is low. Charge for at least 40 minutes.
  • Reset the unit.
Unable to charge the battery
  • Check AC adapter connection.
  • Charge within the 10°C to 35°C temperature range.
  • Use the supplied AC adapter.
Battery runs out quickly
  • Use the supplied AC adapter.
  • Battery performance may temporarily drop in cold temperatures.
  • Battery may need replacement if it drains quickly after full charge.
Recording cannot be performed
  • Check the button.
  • Set to the recording mode by tapping the REC button.
Sound or video is interrupted Interruption between scenes is normal.
There is no sound
  • Turn off Silent Mode.
  • Set "OPERATION SOUND" to "ON".
  • Audio is not recorded in TIME-LAPSE RECORDING.
Same image displayed for a long time
  • Use a high-speed SD card (Class 4 or higher).
  • Clean SD card terminals.
  • Format the SD card.
  • Verify PC system requirements for playback.
Motion is choppy
  • Use a high-speed SD card (Class 4 or higher).
  • Clean SD card terminals.
  • Format the SD card.
Cannot find a recorded file
  • Change playback media (SD card/built-in memory).
  • Select "PLAYBACK OTHER FILE".
Images do not appear on TV properly
  • Reconnect the cable.
  • Reset the unit.
Images projected vertically on TV Set "VIDEO OUTPUT" to "4:3" and adjust TV screen.
Image displayed on TV is too small Set "VIDEO OUTPUT" to "16:9" and adjust TV screen.
No proper images/sounds via HDMI
  • Reconnect HDMI mini cable.
  • Turn unit off and on again.
HDMI-CEC functions not working
  • Set "HDMI CONTROL" to "OFF".
Unit operates slowly Copy all files to a computer and erase them from the unit.
Buttons on touch screen do not work
  • Tap with fingers, not fingernails or gloves.
  • Disable "SCREEN LOCK".
  • Save data before service.
Image is grainy Digital zoom can cause graininess.
Unit heats up Normal operation, but stop using if it becomes too warm.
Display language changed May occur when connecting to TV via HDMI with different language settings.
Error Message: SET DATE/TIME! Clock reset due to battery depletion. Set clock after charging.
Error Message: COMMUNICATION ERROR Reconnect USB, turn devices off/on, reset unit.
Error Message: FORMAT ERROR! Check procedure, reset unit.
Error Message: ERROR IN BUILT-IN MEMORY! Reset unit. If problem persists, backup and format built-in memory.
Error Message: MEMORY CARD ERROR!
  • Check card compatibility.
  • Reset unit. Remove/reinsert SD card.
  • If problem persists, backup and format SD card.
Error Message: NOT FORMATTED Select OK then YES to format.
Error Message: RECORDING FAILURE Reset unit.
Error Message: CANNOT TAKE MORE STILL IMAGES Stop video recording before taking still images.
Error Message: PLAYBACK FAILED Remove/re-insert SD card, clean terminals, insert before powering on, avoid impact.
Error Message: UNSUPPORTED SCENE! / UNSUPPORTED FILE! Use files recorded with this unit.
Error Message: THIS FILE IS PROTECTED Release protection in EDIT menu.
Error Message: CHECK CARD'S WRITE PROTECTION SWITCH Set SD card write protect switch to off.
Error Message: INSUFFICIENT AVAILABLE SPACE
  • Delete files or move to computer.
  • Replace SD card.
Error Message: RECORDABLE MANAGEMENT CAPACITY LEVEL HAS BEEN REACHED
  • Move files to computer.
  • Format built-in memory or SD card.
Error Message: SCENE QUANTITY EXCEEDED LIMIT
  • Move files to computer.
  • Format built-in memory or SD card.
Error Message: NUMBER OF FOLDERS OVERFLOW
  • Move files to computer.

Error Message: FILE QUANTITY LIMIT EXCEEDED

  • Check "REC MEDIA FOR IMAGE"/"REC MEDIA FOR VIDEO" settings.
  • Reset unit.
Error Message: RECORDING CANCELLED
  • Set "REC MEDIA FOR VIDEO" to "SD CARD".
  • Reset unit.
Error Message: DATA RECORDED FILE IS TOO SMALL TO BE SAVED If time-lapse recording stops with less than 0:00:00:17, video cannot be saved.
Error Message: CAMERA TEMPERATURE IS HIGH Turn off unit and let it cool down.
