Getting Started

Troubleshooting and error codes

When the unit is not working properly Solution
Unable to charge the battery Ensure the supplied AC adapter is used. Charge within the 10°C to 35°C temperature range.
The remaining battery display is not correct. Battery performance may be displayed incorrectly after prolonged use in extreme temperatures or frequent charging.
The battery runs out quickly even after charging. Use the supplied AC adapter. Battery performance may temporarily drop in cold temperatures. If issues persist, the battery may need replacement.
Recording cannot be performed. Check the button and set to recording mode by tapping the REC button.
Recording stops automatically. Recording stops after 12 consecutive hours or if the temperature rises. Turn off the unit and wait for it to cool down.
The continuous shooting speed of still images is slow. This can happen with repeated use, depending on the SD card, or certain recording conditions.
The focus is not adjusted automatically. Manually adjust focus in dark or low-contrast scenes. Clean the lens. Cancel manual focus in manual recording menu.
Zoom does not work. Digital zoom is not available in still image mode or time-lapse recording. Set ZOOM in the menu.
Mosaic-type noise occurs Set VIDEO QUALITY to "UXP" or "XP".
The inside of the lens is foggy. Open terminal cover, close LCD monitor, and allow the unit to cool down to reduce temperature.
Cannot insert the SD card. Ensure the SD card is inserted in the correct direction and is compatible. Do not use miniSD or microSD cards.
Unable to copy to SD card. Set REC MEDIA to SD card. Format the SD card if necessary. Release write protection switch on SD card.
Sound or video is interrupted. This is not a malfunction. It can occur at connecting sections between scenes.
There is no sound. Turn off Silent Mode. Set OPERATION SOUND to "ON" in SETUP menu. Audio is not recorded in TIME-LAPSE RECORDING.
The same image is displayed for a long time. Use a high speed SD card (Class 4+). Clean SD card terminals. Format SD card.
The motion is choppy. Use a high speed SD card (Class 4+). Clean SD card terminals. Format SD card. Verify PC system requirements for playback.
Cannot find a recorded file. Change playback media or select "PLAYBACK OTHER FILE" in the menu.
Images do not appear on the TV properly. Disconnect and reconnect cables. Reset the unit.
Images are projected vertically on the TV. Set VIDEO OUTPUT to "4:3". Adjust TV screen.
The image displayed on TV is too small. Set VIDEO OUTPUT to "16:9".
When connected to the TV via the HDMI mini cable, proper images and sounds are not output. Disconnect and reconnect HDMI cable. Turn the unit off and on again.
The buttons on the touch screen do not work. Tap with fingers, not fingernails or gloves. Disable "SCREEN LOCK".
The image is grainy. Digital zoom enlarges the image, making it grainy.
This unit heats up. This is normal for extended use. Stop if it becomes too warm.
The language on the display changed. May occur when connecting to a TV with a different language setting via HDMI.
