Getting Started
- Verifying Accessories: Check all included items against the provided list.
- Powering On/Off: Open the LCD monitor to turn on; close to turn off.
- Charging: Connect the AC adapter to charge the built-in battery.
- Terminal Cover: Ensure it's properly closed, especially before underwater use.
- Resetting: Use the reset button for malfunctions.
- Quad Proof Features: Understand the unit's waterproof, dust-proof, drop-proof, and freeze-proof capabilities.
- Underwater Use: Follow specific cautions regarding depth, duration, and maintenance.
- Tripod Mounting: For stability, use a tripod or monopod.
- Overseas Use: Be aware of power outlet variations and set the clock/daylight saving time accordingly.
- Auto Mode: The i.A. Intelligent Auto mode adjusts settings automatically.
- Indicators: Familiarize yourself with the various icons displayed during recording (Video Quality, Time, Battery, etc.).
- Navigate video and still image playback screens using on-screen buttons.
- Options include scene capture, deletion, and media selection.
- Delete unwanted files.
- Protect files to prevent accidental deletion.
- Transfer files to discs, SD cards, or PCs.
- Monitor images remotely and transfer files using Wi-Fi capabilities.
Troubleshooting and error codes
| Issue | Solution |

| Recording cannot be performed. | Check the REC button. Set to recording mode. |
| Recording stops automatically. | Unit stops automatically after 12+ hours or due to overheating. Turn off and on again. |
| Continuous shooting speed of still images is slow. | Speed may drop with repeated use, SD card type, or recording conditions. |
| Focus is not adjusted automatically. | Adjust focus manually in dark/low-contrast scenes. Clean lens. Cancel manual focus if needed. |
| Zoom does not work. | Digital zoom unavailable in still image mode and time-lapse recording. Set "ZOOM" in menu. |
| Mosaic-type noise in scenes with fast movements/brightness changes. | Set "VIDEO QUALITY" to "UXP" or "XP". |
| Cannot insert SD card. | Ensure correct orientation. Do not use miniSD/microSD cards. |
| Unable to copy to SD card. | Set "REC MEDIA" to SD card. Format card if new or used elsewhere. Check write-protect switch. |
| Cannot find a recorded file. | Change playback media. Select "PLAYBACK OTHER FILE". |

| Error Message: VIDEO MANAGEMENT FILE IS DAMAGED... | Select OK to restore. Unrestored videos may not display but can be played back with "PLAYBACK OTHER FILE". |
| Error Message: UNSUPPORTED SCENE! / UNSUPPORTED FILE! | Use files recorded with this unit. Files from other devices may not be playable. |
| Error Message: THIS FILE IS PROTECTED | Switch off "PROTECT/CANCEL" in EDIT menu. |
| Error Message: CHECK CARD'S WRITE PROTECTION SWITCH | Set write protect switch to off. |
| Error Message: INSUFFICIENT AVAILABLE SPACE | Delete files, move to computer, or use a new SD card. Check free space before combining seamless videos. |
| Error Message: RECORDABLE MANAGEMENT CAPACITY LEVEL HAS BEEN REACHED | Move/back up files. Format Built-in Memory or SD Card. |
| Error Message: SCENE QUANTITY EXCEEDED LIMIT | Move/back up files. Format Built-in Memory or SD Card. |

| NO FILES | Change "REC MEDIA" setting, check files on other media. |
| RECORDING CANCELLED | Reset unit. Protect from vibration/shock. |
| CAMERA TEMPERATURE IS HIGH PLEASE TURN CAMERA OFF TO ALLOW IT TO COOL DOWN PLEASE WAIT | Turn off unit, let it cool down, then turn on again. |
