| Problem | Possible Cause/Solution |
|---|---|
| Unit does not function properly. | 1. Refer to the "Troubleshooting" section in the "Detailed User Guide" (http://manual3.jvckenwood.com/index.html/). |
| 2. Electrostatic discharge, external noise and interference may prevent proper function. Reset the unit: Turn off power, remove and reattach AC adapter and battery pack. | |
| 3. If the problem persists, consult a JVC dealer or service center. | |
| Battery Pack | The supplied battery is a lithium-ion battery. |
| Hazards: Do not burn, short-circuit terminals, disassemble, or expose to high temperatures. Use only specified chargers. | |
| To prolong life: Avoid shock, charge within temperature range, store in cool/dry place, maintain 30% charge if stored long-term. | |
| Recording Medium Issues | Follow guidelines to prevent corruption: Do not bend, drop, apply pressure, or expose to water. Avoid static electricity/electrical noise. Do not remove battery/AC adapter during operation. Keep away from magnetic fields and high temperatures/humidity. Do not touch metal parts. |
| Formatting/erasing only changes file administration; data is not completely erased. For complete erasure, use specialized software or physically destroy the medium. | |
| Data may become unreadable if battery, AC adapter, or SD card is removed while access lamp is lit. | |
| LCD Monitor Issues | DO NOT push strongly or apply shocks to the LCD monitor. Do not place the camcorder with the LCD monitor facing down. |
| To prolong life, avoid rubbing with coarse cloth. | |
| Pixel variations (bright/dark spots) are normal and will not be recorded. |
