| If you encounter problems with this unit, check the following before requesting service. | This unit is equipped with a built-in lithium-ion battery. Before using this unit, be sure to read the following cautions: |
| 1. Refer to the “Troubleshooting” section in the “Detailed User Guide”. | • To avoid hazards: do not burn, do not modify or disassemble, do not expose this Unit to temperatures exceeding 60 °C, as this may cause the built-in battery to overheat, explode or catch fire. |
| 2. This unit is a microcomputer-controlled device. Electrostatic discharge, external noise and interference (from a TV, a radio, etc.) might prevent it from functioning properly. In such a case, reset the unit. | • To prevent damage and prolong service life: do not subject to unnecessary shock, charge within the temperature range of 10°C to 35°C, store in a cool, dry place, keep a 30% battery level if not used for a long period, remove the AC adapter when not in use, do not drop intentionally or subject to strong impact. |
| 3. If the above do not solve the problem, consult your nearest JVC dealer or JVC service center. | Recording Medium: Be sure to follow guidelines to prevent corruption or damage to recorded data. Do not bend, drop, splash with water, expose to static electricity or electrical noise. Do not turn off power during access. Do not bring near strong magnetic fields. Do not store in high temperature/humidity. Do not touch metal parts. When erasing data, use FORMAT or FACTORY PRESET, or physically destroy the camcorder. |
| LCD Monitor: Do NOT push strongly or apply shocks. Do not place with LCD monitor on the bottom. To prolong service life, avoid rubbing with coarse cloth. 0.01% of pixels may be bright/dark spots, not a malfunction. | |
| Main Unit: For safety, DO NOT open, disassemble, modify, allow inflammables/water/objects to enter, disconnect power while on, place naked flames, leave dust/metal objects on plug, insert objects. Avoid using in soot/steam, excessive shock/vibration, near TV, strong magnetic/electric fields, extreme temperatures. DO NOT leave in over 50°C, low/high humidity with cover open, direct sunlight, closed car, near heater, high places. |
