Basic Operations
Quick Start Guide: This guide covers basic functions. For detailed information, refer to the full Instruction Manual online.
Initial Setup: Upon first power-up, follow on-screen prompts for Locale, Language, Color, EXT SW, Camera, and OEM SETUP.
Connecting Devices: Setup screens for iPod/iPhone and Apps are presented upon first selection. Follow on-screen instructions for connection types (Bluetooth, USB, etc.).
Front Panel Buttons: Familiarize yourself with the buttons for Reset, Volume, NAV, AUD, MENU, and TEL functions.
Navigation: Press NAV to access the navigation screen. Use the Main Menu to find destinations, view the map, and adjust settings.
Media Playback: Connect CDs, USB devices, or iPod/iPhone to play music. Control playback using on-screen buttons.

Troubleshooting and error codes
| Problem | Solution |

| Unit fails to operate properly | Press the Reset button. The unit returns to factory settings. Disconnect USB device before resetting. |
| Lens fogging | Remove the disc and wait for condensation to evaporate. If the unit still does not operate normally, consult your Kenwood dealer. |
| Disc playback issues | Ensure the disc is not dirty or damaged. Clean from the center outward. Use only round discs. 8-cm discs cannot be used. |
| GPS signal not acquired | Ensure the vehicle is outdoors in an open area away from tall buildings and trees. |
