Setting Up Your Receiver

Follow the receiver's Quick Setup procedure:

1. Connect all speakers.
2. Press SETUP, then "SP SETUP".
3. Press UP MULTI-CONTROL, then "TEST TONE".
4. Press SETUP, then "AUTO", then UP MULTI-CONTROL, then "MANUAL".
5. Press SETUP repeatedly to select a speaker, hear test noise, and use UP/DOWN MULTI-CONTROL to adjust volume. Record settings.
6. Press SETUP repeatedly to "EXIT" and exit setup mode.

Setting the Speaker Distances

1. Measure and record speaker-to-seat distances.
2. Press SETUP, then "SP SETUP".
3. Press UP MULTI-CONTROL twice, then "DISTANCE".
4. Press SETUP.
5. Use MULTI-CONTROL to match displayed distance for front speakers.
6. Repeat step 5 for center and surround speakers.
7. Press SETUP twice to exit.

Connecting Your Speakers

Ensure receiver power is unplugged. Connect colored speaker wires to corresponding terminals on speakers and receiver. Do not push wires too far into terminals.

Placing Your Speakers

Position speakers as shown. Keep subwoofer away from TV if picture discoloration occurs. Center speaker is magnetically shielded. Surround speakers can be wall-mounted. Subwoofer placement affects bass output.

Balancing the Speakers

System is pre-balanced. For fine-tuning, use the receiver's "SP SETUP" menu. Adjust individual speaker volumes using "TEST TONE" and "MANUAL" settings.
