BASICS

Turn on/off: Press SRC to turn on. Press and hold SRC to turn off. Press and hold SRC to turn off the power.

Adjust volume: Turn the volume knob or press VOL / VOL.

Select source: Press SRC repeatedly.

Change display information: Press SCRL DISP repeatedly.

GETTING STARTED

Cancel Demonstration: Press volume knob when "CANCEL DEMO" is shown.

Set Clock: Navigate through FUNCTION > SETTINGS > CLOCK to adjust hour and minute.

Set Initial Settings: Navigate through STANDBY > FUNCTION > INITIAL SET to configure settings like PRESET TYPE and KEY BEEP.

RADIO

Search for Station: Press SRC to select TUNER, then use / or AM-/FM+ buttons. Store stations by pressing number buttons (1-6).

CD/USB/iPod

Playback: Press 6II to pause/resume. Use / to skip tracks. Use and hold to fast forward/reverse.

Select Track/File: Use / or AM-/FM+ buttons. For lists, press Q and use the volume knob.

Repeat/Random Play: Press 4 for repeat play, 3 for random play.

AUX

Start Listening: Connect a portable audio player, press SRC to select AUX.

Set AUX Name: Navigate through FUNCTION > SETTINGS > AUX NAME SET.

Pandora

Start Listening: Open Pandora app, connect device via USB, press SRC to select PANDORA.

Playback Control: Use 6II, thumbs up/down, skip track buttons.

SiriusXM

Start Listening: Connect tuner, activate subscription, press SRC to select SIRIUS XM. Use / to navigate channels.

BLUETOOTH

Pairing: Press SRC, select unit model on device, press volume knob to pair. Confirm passcode if prompted.

Phone Operations: Receive call with / or volume knob. Reject with SRC. End call with or SRC. Switch between hands-free/private talk with 6II. Adjust phone volume with volume knob.

AUDIO SETTINGS

Adjust Audio: Navigate through FUNCTION > AUDIO CONTROL to adjust BASS BOOST, LOUDNESS, BALANCE, FADER, SUBWOOFER, EQ PRO, etc.

DISPLAY SETTINGS

Adjust Display: Navigate through FUNCTION > SETTINGS to adjust DISP DIMMER, TEXT SCROLL, KEY DIMMER, BT DVC STATUS, etc.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Symptom Remedy
Sound cannot be heard. Adjust the volume to the optimum level. Check the cords and connections.
"PROTECT" appears and no operations can be done. Check to be sure the terminals of the speaker wires are insulated properly, then reset the unit. If this does not solve the problem, consult your nearest service center.
Sound cannot be heard. The unit does not turn on. Clean the connectors. (→ 2)
Information shown on the display is incorrect. Reset the unit. (3)
The unit does not work at all. Connect the antenna firmly. Pull the antenna out all the way.
Radio reception is poor. Make sure the media contains supported audio files. (→16)
Static noise while listening to the radio. Insert a playable disc into the loading slot.
"NA FILE" appears. Make sure the disc is clean and inserted properly.
"NO DISC" appears. Reset the unit. If this does not solve the problem, consult your nearest service center.
"TOC ERROR" appears. Press and hold to forcibly eject the disc. Be careful not to drop the disc when it is ejected. If this does not solve the problem, reset the unit. (→ 3)
"PLEASE EJECT" / "PLS EJECT" appears. Copy the files and folders onto the USB device again. If this does not solve the problem, reset the USB device or use another USB device.
Disc cannot be ejected. Connect a USB device, and change the source to USB again.
"READ ERROR" appears. A copy-protected file is played.
"NO DEVICE" appears. Connect a USB device that contains playable audio files.
"COPY PRO" appears. Connect a supported USB device, and check the connections.
"NO MUSIC" appears. Remove the USB device, turn the unit off, then turn it on again. Try to connect another USB device. Reconnect the iPod. Reset the iPod.
"NA DEVICE" appears. Skip to another track or change the disc. Playback order is determined when files are recorded.
"USB ERROR" appears. Do not use too many hierarchical levels or folders. This is caused by how the tracks are recorded. Podcast files are not counted on this unit as this unit does not support the playback of podcast files.
"iPod ERROR" appears. This unit can only display uppercase letters, numbers, and a limited number of symbols.
Noise is generated.  
Tracks do not play back as you have intended them to play.  
"READING" keeps flashing.  
Elapsed playing time is not correct.  
The number of songs contained in the "SONGS" category of this unit is different from the iPod/iPhone.  
Correct characters are not displayed (e.g. album name).  
Privacy Policy
