CONTROLS AND FUNCTIONS:

  1. POWER ON Indicator: Lights when the DC Power Supply is on.
  2. POWER Switch: Turns power on and off.
  3. BAIL: Used to elevate the front panel.
  4. Output Terminals: For connecting the radio.
  5. Fuse Holder: Contains a specified fuse.
  6. AC Power Cable: Connects to the AC outlet.

OPERATION:

  1. Turn the radio POWER switch on after the DC Power Supply POWER switch is turned on.
  2. When communication is completed, turn off the POWER switches of both the radio and the DC Power Supply.

Troubleshooting and error codes

PROBLEM POSSIBLE CAUSE REMEDY
No output voltage Power switch is OFF. Turn the power switch ON.
No output voltage AC power is not supplied. Check AC power cable connection and AC outlet.
No output voltage Fuse has blown. Check the cause and replace the fuse with one of the same rating. (See Section 5-4)
No output voltage Output terminals are shorted. Disconnect the load and check for short circuits.
Protection circuit operates Overload or short circuit. Turn the POWER switches of both the radio and DC Power Supply OFF. Check for overload or short circuit. Then, turn the POWER switches ON again.
