Starting Your Dryer

  1. Clean lint screen before each load.
  2. Place laundry into dryer and shut door.
  3. Select an Automatic or Manual Cycle, then press CONTROL ON.
  4. For Automatic Cycles: Select DRYNESS LEVEL. Time displayed is estimated.
  5. For Manual Cycles: Press MANUAL DRY TIME buttons to set time. Press TEMP for desired temperature.
  6. Press HOLD TO START to begin cycle.

Stopping Your Dryer

Press OFF twice or open the door.

Pausing or Restarting

Open door or press OFF once to pause. Close door and press HOLD TO START to restart.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Problem Possible Cause & Solution
Dryer Does Not Start
  • Blown fuse or tripped circuit breaker? Check both.
  • Correct electrical supply available? Check with electrician.
  • Used ordinary fuse? Use time-delay fuse.
  • Dryer door not closed? Close door firmly.
  • Start button not pressed firmly? Press and hold for 2-5 seconds for some loads.
No Heat
  • Blown fuse or tripped circuit breaker? Check both.
  • Dryer not plugged in or power off? Check connections.
  • Household fuse intact/tight or circuit breaker not tripped? Check both.
  • Dryer door closed? Ensure door is closed.
Unusual Noises
  • Dryer not used for a while? Normal for first few minutes.
  • Coin, button, or paper clip between drum and dryer? Check drum edges.
  • Dryer not level? Check installation and adjust legs.
  • Clothes tangled or in a ball? Separate load and restart.
Dryer Displays "PF"
  • Power failure interrupted cycle? Press and hold START to restart.
"E" Service Codes
  • Contact service.
Clothes Not Drying Satisfactorily, Drying Times Too Long, Load Too Hot
  • Lint filter clogged? Clean before each load.
  • Exhaust vent or flap obstructed? Check for airflow.
  • Dryer sheet blocking vent? Use one sheet per load, only once.
  • Exhaust vent too long or has too many turns? Check installation.
  • Exhaust vent diameter incorrect? Use 4" (10.2 cm) diameter.
Clothes Not Drying Satisfactorily
  • Lint filter clogged? Check airflow.
Stains on Load or Drum
  • Fabric softener used incorrectly? Add sheets at beginning of cycle.
  • Dye transfer from clothes (e.g., denim)? Normal, will not transfer to other clothes.
Wrinkled Loads
  • Load not removed promptly? Remove promptly.
  • Dryer overloaded? Dry smaller loads.
Odors
  • Recent painting/staining in room? Ventilate area.
  • First use? Normal odor from new heating element will disappear.
Short Drying Time / Automatic Cycle Ends Too Soon
  • Load not contacting detection strips? Ensure dryer is level.
  • Adjust dryness level setting? Increase or decrease for automatic cycles.
