Starting Your Dryer

  1. Clean lint screen before each load.
  2. Place laundry into dryer and shut door.
  3. Rotate the dial to select a cycle (Automatic or Manual), then press CONTROL ON. Preset settings and drying time will display.

Automatic Cycle Operation

  1. Select an Automatic Cycle.
  2. Adjust DRYNESS LEVEL as desired. The displayed time is an estimate and will adjust automatically.
  3. Press EXTRA CARE if desired.
  4. Press CYCLE END SIGNAL to adjust volume.
  5. Press and hold HOLD TO START for about 1 second until dryer starts.

Manual Cycle Operation

  1. Rotate dial to select a Manual Cycle.
  2. Press MANUAL DRY TIME buttons (- or +) to set desired drying time.
  3. Press TEMP until desired temperature glows.
  4. Press EXTRA CARE if desired.
  5. Press CYCLE END SIGNAL to adjust volume.
  6. Press and hold HOLD TO START until dryer starts.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Dryer Operation Troubleshooting Steps
Dryer will not run
  • Check household fuses or circuit breakers.
  • Use a time-delay fuse.
  • Ensure dryer door is firmly closed.
  • Press Start button firmly, especially for large loads (2-5 seconds).
No heat
  • Check household fuses or circuit breakers.
  • Ensure the gas supply line valve is open.
Unusual sounds
  • Dryer may make thumping sounds after a period of non-use.
  • Check for objects caught between the drum and dryer front/rear.
  • Gas valve clicking is normal.
  • Ensure all four legs are installed and dryer is level.
  • Separate knotted or balled-up loads.
Dryer displaying code message
  • "PF" (power failure): Press and hold START to restart.
  • "E" Variable (E1, E2, E3) service codes: Call for service.
Dryer Results: Clothes not drying, long times, too hot
  • Clean lint screen.
  • Check exhaust vent for obstructions.
  • Use only one fabric softener sheet.
  • Ensure exhaust vent is correct length and diameter (4").
  • Ensure dryer is in a room above 45°F (7°C).
  • Check closet door ventilation if applicable.
  • Select correct cycle for garment type.
  • Do not overload the dryer.
  • Ensure automatic cycle is ending properly (level dryer, adjust dryness level).
Cycle time too short
  • Ensure automatic cycle isn't ending early (check dryer level, adjust dryness level).
Lint on load
  • Clean lint screen and check for air movement.
Stains on load or drum
  • Use fabric softener sheets at the beginning of the cycle.
  • Drum stains may be caused by clothing dyes and will not transfer.
Loads are wrinkled
  • Remove load promptly at end of cycle.
  • Do not overload dryer.
Odors
  • Ventilate area if recently painted or varnished.
