Operating Your Clothes Dryer:

  1. Add sorted laundry.
  2. Add fabric softener if desired.
  3. Close the dryer door.
  4. Select a cycle using the Cycle Control Selector.
  5. Press the START button to begin drying.

Energy Saving Tips:

  • Avoid overloading the dryer.
  • Clean the lint screen before each load.
  • Do not overdry clothes.
  • Dry full loads whenever possible.
  • Separate light and heavyweight fabrics.
  • Wash and dry loads consecutively.
  • Don't add wet items to a partially dried load.
  • Minimize opening the dryer door.
  • Locate the dryer in a warm area.
  • Ensure proper outside exhaust.

Static Electricity • overdrying
• fabric type (Some synthetics will normally produce static electricity. Use dryer fabric softener. See page 7.)
Stiff, Harsh Fabrics • wash load was off-balance, fabrics were very wet
• line drying
Wrinkling • using incorrect cycle selection
• overdrying
• not removing clothes immediately after dryer stops tumbling
• poor quality permanent press finish on fabrics
