Starting Your Dryer

1. Clean lint screen before or after each cycle.

2. Place laundry into dryer and shut door.

3. Rotate dial to select Automatic or Manual Cycle, then press CONTROL ON. Preset settings and drying time will be displayed.

Using an Automatic Cycle

Point dial to an Automatic Cycle. Select DRYNESS LEVEL to adjust dryness. Time displayed is estimated. Control senses dryness and adjusts time automatically.

  • Press EXTRA CARE if desired.
  • Press CYCLE END SIGNAL to set signal volume.
  • Press and hold HOLD TO START until dryer starts.

Using a Manual Cycle

Rotate dial to select Manual Cycle. Press MANUAL DRY TIME buttons for desired time. Press TEMP for desired temperature. Manual Cycles do not have a Dryness Level indicator.

  • Press EXTRA CARE if desired.
  • Press CYCLE END SIGNAL for volume.
  • Press and hold HOLD TO START until dryer starts.

Stopping Your Dryer

Press OFF twice or open the door.

Pausing or Restarting

To pause: Open door or press OFF once.

To restart: Close door and press and hold HOLD TO START.

Control Locked

Press and hold CYCLE END SIGNAL for 3 seconds to lock/unlock.

Loading

Load by space items take up, not weight. Do not overload.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Dryer displaying code message
"PF" (power failure)Check if cycle interrupted by power failure. Press (and hold) HOLD TO START to restart.
"E" Variable (E1, E2, E3)Call for service.
Clothes are not drying satisfactorily
Lint screen cloggedClean lint screen. Check for air movement.
Exhaust vent/hood cloggedClean exhaust system or replace vent.
Exhaust vent crushed/kinkedReplace with heavy metal or flexible metal vent.
Fuse blown/circuit breaker trippedCheck fuse/breaker.
Air cycle selectedSelect correct cycle for garments.
Automatic cycle ending earlyEnsure load contacts electronic sensor strips; level dryer.
Gas supply valve openCheck if valve is open.
Fabric softener sheets blocking grilleUse only one sheet per load, once.
Room temperature below 45°F (7°C)Ensure proper operating temperature.
Cold rinse water/very wet loadExpect longer drying times.

Dryer will not run
