Slide Controls: Settings to the left of mid-setting make the temperature less cold; settings to the right make it colder. Adjust one setting at a time.
Electronic Controls: Use arrow buttons to adjust temperature. A beep indicates a setting change. Settings to the left of mid-setting make it less cold; settings to the right make it colder.
Digital Controls: Use '+' and '-' pads to adjust temperature set points for freezer (-5°F to 5°F) and refrigerator (33°F to 41°F).
Accelerated Ice Production: Press the ICE pad to set the freezer to -10°F for increased ice production for 24 hours.
Max Cool: Press MAX COOL for periods of heavy ice usage, full loads, or warm room temperatures. It runs for 24 hours.
| Refrigerator Operation | |
| The refrigerator will not operate | Check the following: - Power cord unplugged? Plug into a grounded 3 prong outlet. - Outlet working? Plug in a lamp. - Household fuse blown or circuit breaker tripped? Replace fuse or reset breaker. - Controls on? Make sure controls are ON. See "Using the Controls." - New installation? Allow 24 hours for cooling. Adjusting to coldest setting will not speed cooling. |
| The motor seems to run too much | Your new refrigerator may run longer than your old one due to its high-efficiency compressor and fans. It may run longer if the room is warm, a large food load is added, doors are opened often, or if doors have been left open. |
| The refrigerator is noisy | Normal Sounds: - Buzzing: Water valve filling ice maker. - Pulsating: Fans/compressor adjusting. - Rattling: Refrigerant flow, water line, or items on top. - Sizzling/Gurgling: Water dripping on heater during defrost. - Popping: Wall contraction/expansion. - Water running: Water melting during defrost. - Creaking/Cracking: Ice ejection from ice maker. |
| The doors will not close completely |
- Door blocked open? Move food packages. - Bin or shelf in the way? Push bin or shelf back. |
| The doors are difficult to open | - Gaskets dirty or sticky? Clean with mild soap and warm water. |
