Warranty Information

Two-year limited warranty covers factory-specified parts and repair labor for defects in materials or workmanship.

Loading the Washer: Sort clothes by color and fabric type. Load loosely into the washer, balancing the load. Do not overload.
Adding Detergent & Additives: Measure detergent and add to the dispenser or directly to the tub. Use liquid chlorine bleach in the dispenser (if equipped) and never powder or color-safe bleach. Add liquid fabric softener to its dispenser, diluting it with water if necessary.
Starting the Cycle: Close the lid. Select the appropriate LOAD SIZE and TEMPERATURE settings. Push in the Cycle Control knob and turn it clockwise to the desired wash cycle, then pull out the knob to start.
Stopping/Restarting: Push in the Cycle Control knob to stop. Close the lid and pull out the knob to restart.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Washer and Components Troubleshooting Steps
Noisy Is the load balanced and washer level? Did you remove shipping strap? Are gears engaging normally?
Leaking Check fill hoses, washers, drain hose clamp, sink/drain, water deflection, and household plumbing.
Basket crooked Was the basket pulled forward? Is the load balanced and washer level? The basket moves during washing (normal).
Agitator operation Top of agitator loose or moves in one direction (normal).
Dispensers clogged or bleach leaking Follow manufacturer's directions for adding detergent/softener. Do not put powder/color-safe bleach in liquid chlorine dispenser.
Washer stops, won't fill, rinse or agitate Check power cord, Cycle Control knob alignment, clogged water inlet screens, faucets ON, kinked inlet hose, low water level (normal), blown fuse/tripped breaker, extension cord use, normal pause in cycle, or overloading.
Washer won't drain or spin Check drain hose for clogs/height, lid open, or excessive sudsing.
Washer continues to fill or drain, cycle seems stuck Check drain hose height relative to water level, drain hose fit in standpipe, or excessive sudsing.
Wash temperature is not what I selected Check if hot/cold water hoses are reversed. Temperature may decrease with frequent use.
Load too wet Correct cycle used? Cold rinse? Normal to be wetter after cold rinse.
Residue or lint on load Proper sorting? Load balanced/not overloaded? Correct water level? Enough detergent? Line drying? Paper in pockets? Cold wash water? Short wash cycle?
Stains on load Proper detergent/softener use? Iron in water? Proper sorting? Unloaded promptly?
Load is wrinkled Unloaded promptly? Correct cycle used (Casual/Permanent Press)? Load balanced/not overloaded? Warm wash water? Hoses reversed?
Load is tangled or twisted Load balanced/not overloaded? Items wrapped around agitator?
Gray whites, dingy colors Proper sorting? Wash temperature too low? Enough detergent/hard water? Hoses reversed?
Garments damaged Sharp items removed from pockets? Strings/sashes tied? Items damaged before washing? Load balanced/not overloaded? Proper bleach use? Follow care label instructions?
