Getting to Know Your Camera

Familiarize yourself with the parts of your KE20 camera using the provided diagrams. Key components include the shutter button, picture counter, viewfinder, flash, lens, and various latches and switches for film loading and operation.

Loading the Film

Open the film door by sliding the latch. Insert the film leader into the slot at the back of the camera, ensuring it is between the film-guide rails. Push the film cartridge down until it fits securely. Close the film door and check the film window to confirm film is loaded.

Taking Pictures

Slide the lens-cover switch to open the lens and turn on the camera. For a sharp picture, stand at least 4 ft (1.2 m) from your subject. Look through the viewfinder to frame your shot. Hold the camera steady and gently press the shutter button. The film will automatically advance to the next picture. Close the lens cover when done.

Taking Flash Pictures

In low light, ensure the lens cover is open. Wait for the flash-ready lamp to glow before taking the picture. Keep the subject within the recommended distance range for the film speed. Press the shutter button gently.

Unloading the Film

When you reach the end of the roll, you must rewind the film. Slide the film-rewind switch until it latches. Wait for the motor to stop before opening the film door to remove the film. You cannot reload partially exposed film.
