Warranty Information

Limited one-year warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship for the wireless telephone and included accessories.

Powering On/Off: Open the folder. Press and hold the END key until the power-on/off melody is heard. If a PIN is required, enter it and press the OK soft key.
Making a Call: In idle mode, enter the phone number and press the Dial & Menu confirmation key.
Answering a Call: The phone rings or vibrates. Press the Dial & Menu confirmation key or any key (if set to Any key Answer).
Ending a Call: Briefly press the Menu exit key or close the folder.
Multimedia: Access the Camera to take photos or record videos. Use the Audio Player to play MP3 files and Video Player for MPEG4 files.
Text Input: Use the various Text Input Methods (Multitap, Smart ES, Smart es) for messages and contacts.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Trouble Possible Cause/Solution
Enter PIN appears at power-up PIN check enabled. Enter supplied PIN. Disable PIN check in Security Setting if desired.
Insert SIM screen appears SIM card not inserted adequately. Check SIM card insertion.
Enter Lock Code appears Phone is locked. Enter Lock Code supplied with the phone.
No Service Area out of GSM/DCS network coverage.
No tone on keypad press Check Silence Mode, Key Tone settings, or Profiles menu.
No audible alert for incoming call Check Silence Mode, SMS Alert Tone settings, or Profiles menu.
No audible alert for alarm Check Silence Mode setting.
Outgoing call not made Outgoing calls barring may be enabled. Check Call Barring menu.
Incoming call not made Incoming calls barring may be enabled. Check Call Barring menu.
Outgoing SMS not sent Check Message Centre option in Message Setup menu.
Audible key tones muted, alerts vibrated Check Silence Mode setting. Press and hold VOLUME-CENTRE to escape/enter mode.
Sound-related menus not visible Check Silence Mode setting. Press and hold VOLUME-CENTRE to escape/enter mode.
