Quick Start:
  • Turn on/off: Press and hold the PWR key.
  • Make a call: Dial number, then press SEND/TALK.
  • Answer a call: Press SEND/TALK.
  • End a call: Press END.
  • Save a number: Enter number, press SAVE, enter name, press SAVE.
  • Speed dial: Enter memory location, press SEND/TALK.

Getting to Know Your Phone:
  • Safe operating instructions: Keep phone away from pacemakers, activate keyguard for pocket carrying, use only approved accessories.
  • About your phone model: Covers QCP 860, QCP 1960, QCP 2760 with different service capabilities.
  • Keys: Explains function of Power, SEND/TALK, END, envelope, keypad, scroll keys, and information keys.
  • Icons: Explains display icons like Digital Mode, Signal Strength, No Signal, On Call, Roaming, Envelope, Padlock, and Battery Charge.
  • Smart Keys: Function changes based on screen context. In standby, [MENU] and [BOOK].
  • Turning phone on/off: Hold PWR key.

Making and Receiving Calls:
  • Make a call: Dial and press SEND/TALK.
  • Answer a call: Press any key except PWR or END.
  • End a call: Press END.
  • Redialing calls: Last 10 calls stored. Redial last number or from history list.
  • Types of calls: Called By, Call To, Missed, Call Waiting.
  • Three-Way Calling: Participate in a three-party call.
  • Call forwarding: Forward calls to another number.
  • Call waiting: Manage incoming calls while on a call.
  • Adjusting volume: Ringer and earpiece volume adjustment. Automatic volume feature on QCP 2760.
  • Setting ringer type: Choose from available ringer types.
  • Setting backlight: Options for backlight display to save battery.
Phone Book:
  • Stores numbers in memory locations.
  • Saving a number: Save with name, choose location, set privacy.
  • Saving a name with a number: Enter letters using keypad.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Problem Possible Cause Solution
No sound Volume is turned down or muted. Press volume keys to increase volume. Press SEND or TALK to unmute.
Cannot make calls No signal. Phone is locked. Service is interrupted. Move to an area with better signal. Unlock phone. Contact service provider.
Cannot receive calls Phone is off. Phone is locked. Service is interrupted. Turn phone on. Unlock phone. Contact service provider.
Battery not charging Charger not properly connected. Battery is faulty. Ensure charger is securely connected to phone and outlet. Try a different outlet. Contact service provider.
Display is blank Phone is off. Backlight is off. Turn phone on. Press any key to activate backlight. Adjust backlight settings.
