Warranty Information

One (1) year parts and labor warranty from the date of original retail purchase.

  • Before Using the Surface Burners: Ensure grates and burners are properly in place and cool. Do not operate burners for extended periods without cookware.
  • Lighting a Gas Surface Burner: Push and turn the control knob counterclockwise to LITE. All burners spark. Hold knob for 15 seconds. If flame doesn't light, stop, ventilate, and wait 1 minute. Turn knob between HI and LO to regulate flame. Turn clockwise to OFF to extinguish.
  • In Case of Power Failure: Light burners with a match. Hold lit match to burner, then push and turn knob to LITE. Exercise extreme caution. Burners in use will continue to operate.
  • Automatic Ignition with Flame Failure Safety Device: Appliance has a safety device to stop gas flow if flame goes out.
  • Safety and Energy Saving: Use cookware with a bottom diameter corresponding to the burner size. Avoid oversize cookware. Do not use cookware that overlaps the edge of the burner.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Problem Possible Cause & Solution
Burners have yellow or yellow-tipped flames The combustion quality of burner flames needs to be determined visually. If flames look like 1 (yellow flames), call for service. Normal flames should look like 2 (yellow tips on outer cones for LP gas) or 3 (soft blue flames for natural gas).
Burner flames are very large or yellow Improper air to gas ratio. If cooktop is connected to LP gas, contact installer or conversion specialist.
Control knobs will not turn Knob is not pushed down. To turn from OFF, push knob down and then turn.
Top burners do not light or do not burn evenly. Plug on cooktop is not completely inserted in the electrical outlet. Ensure it's plugged into a live, properly grounded outlet. Burner slots may be clogged. Remove and clean burners. Check electrode area. Improper burner assembly. Ensure parts are installed correctly.
You smell gas Surface burner knob is not in OFF position and burner is not lit. Turn knob to OFF. There is a gas leak. Clear the area, call gas supplier from neighbor's phone. Do not call from your phone. Follow supplier instructions. If unavailable, call fire department.
