Basic Operation

Connecting to TV/Audio System: Follow the diagrams to connect the DVD player to your TV or audio system using the provided cables. Ensure power is off before connecting.

Basic Playback:

  1. Press POWER to turn on the player.
  2. Press OPEN/CLOSE to open the disc tray.
  3. Place a disc (playback side down) in the tray.
  4. Press PLAY to begin playback.
  5. Use remote control buttons for pause, stop, skip, scan, slow-motion, zoom, and menu navigation.

Using GUI Menu Icons: Press GUI DISPLAY during playback to view disc information. Use arrow buttons to navigate and SELECT/ENTER to choose.

Advanced Operation

Zoom Feature: Press ZOOM during playback to enlarge the picture (X4 or X16). Press SELECT/ENTER to confirm. Press ZOOM again to exit.

Random Play: Press RANDOM during stop or playback to play discs (audio CDs only) in random order.

Program Play: Press PROGRAM to select tracks in a desired order for audio CDs.

Initial Settings: Press SETUP to access menus for Disc Audio, Subtitle, Menu Language, TV Aspect, Rating, Password, TV Output Select, and Digital Audio Output.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Symptoms and Correction
No power. Cause: The power cord is disconnected.
Correction: Plug the power cord into the wall outlet securely.
The power is on, but the DVD player does not work. Cause: No disc is inserted.
Correction: Insert a disc (Check that the DVD or audio CD indicator is lit).
No picture. Cause: The TV is not set to receive DVD signal output; Video cable not connected securely; TV power is off.
Correction: Select correct TV input; Connect video cable securely; Turn on TV.
No sound. Cause: Equipment connected with audio cable not set to receive DVD signal output; Audio cables not connected securely; Equipment power is off; Digital Audio Output set incorrectly.
Correction: Select correct audio input; Connect audio cables securely; Turn on equipment; Set Digital Audio Output correctly.
The playback picture is poor. Cause: Disc is dirty.
Correction: Clean the disc.
The DVD player does not start playback. Cause: No disc inserted; Unplayable disc; Disc upside down; Disc not placed correctly.
Correction: Insert disc; Insert playable disc; Place disc with playback side down; Place disc correctly in tray.
The remote control does not work properly. Cause: Not pointed at sensor; Too far; Obstacle; Batteries exhausted.
Correction: Point at sensor; Operate within 23 ft; Remove obstacle; Replace batteries.
