Operation

General Features

OPEN/CLOSE: Opens or closes the disc tray.

PAUSE/STEP (II): During playback, press PAUSE/STEP (II) to pause playback. Press PAUSE/STEP (II) repeatedly to play Frame-by-Frame.

SKIP (1): During playback, press SKIP (K or ) to go to the next chapter/track or to return to the beginning of the current chapter/track. Press SKIP () twice briefly to step back to the previous chapter/track.

SCAN (/): During playback, press SCAN (or) repeatedly to select the required scan speed. For DVD, DivX discs: 4 steps. For Video CD, MP3, WMA, Audio CD: 3 steps. While the playback is paused, press SCAN (►) repeatedly to play in slow motion (4 steps).

REPEAT: During playback, press REPEAT repeatedly to select a desired repeat mode. For DVD Video discs: Chapter/Title/Off. For Video CD, Audio CD, DivX/MP3/WMA discs: Track/All/Off.

A-B: Press the A-B button one at a time to select a point A and point B and repeats a sequence from point A (Starting point) to point B (End point). Press A-B again to cancel.

ZOOM: During playback or pause mode, press ZOOM to enlarge the video image (3 steps). You can move through the zoomed picture using /// buttons. Press CLEAR to exit.

RANDOM: During playback or in stop mode, press RANDOM for random playback.

TITLE: If the current DVD title has a menu, the title menu appears on the screen. Otherwise, the disc menu may appear.

DVD MENU: The disc menu appears on the screen.

ANGLE(): During playback of DVD disc that contains scenes recorded at different camera angles, press ANGLE() repeatedly to select a desired angle.

SUBTITLE (): During playback, press SUBTITLE () repeatedly to select a desired subtitle language.

AUDIO (O))): During playback, press AUDIO(O))) repeatedly to hear a different audio language or audio track.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Symptom Possible Cause Solution
No Power The power cord is disconnected. Firmly plug the power cord into the wall socket.
Unit is on, but DVD player does not function. No disc is inserted. Insert a disc. (Check that the disc indicator light is on in the display window).
No Picture The TV is not set to receive the DVD player's output signal. The video cable is not securely connected. Select the appropriate video input mode on the TV. Securely connect the video cable.
No Sound The connected audio equipment is not set to receive the DVD player's audio output signal. The connected audio equipment is turned off. AUDIO options are set incorrectly. Select the appropriate audio input mode on the audio receiver. Turn on the connected audio equipment. Set the AUDIO option to the correct position, then turn the DVD player back on by pressing POWER.
DVD Player Refuses to Play Disc An unreadable disc is in the player. Parental control function is activated. Insert a readable disc (Check disc type and region). Modify the parental control level.
Remote Control Does Not Function Correctly The remote control is not aimed at the infrared sensor of the DVD player. The remote control is too far from the DVD player. Point the remote control towards the DVD player's infrared sensor. Move the remote control closer to the DVD player.
