Operation Summary

Playing a Tape:

  • Ensure the DVD+VCR is connected to the TV and powered on.
  • Insert the video cassette with the window side facing up.
  • Press 'PLAY' to start playback.
  • Use 'PAUSE/STEP' to pause or play frame-by-frame.
  • Use 'FORWARD' and 'BACKWARD' for picture search.
  • 'CM SKIP' allows skipping commercial breaks.
  • 'OPR' adjusts playback quality automatically.
  • Press 'STOP' to end playback.

Instant Timer Recording (ITR):

  • Connect the DVD+VCR and turn it on.
  • Insert a video cassette.
  • Select the desired programme number or input source (AV1, AV2, AV3).
  • Choose between Standard Play (SP) or Long Play (LP).
  • Press 'REC/ITR' to start recording, increasing time by 30 minutes per press (up to 9 hours).

Troubleshooting and error codes

• Turn on the equipment connected with the audio cable.
• Set the Audio option to the correct position, then turn on the DVD player again by pressing POWER.
The picture is poor. • The disc is dirty.
• The TV channels are not tuned in properly.
• Clean the disc.
• Check tuning, carry out tuning again.
The DVD player does not start playback. • An unplayable disc is inserted.
• The disc is placed upside down.
• The disc is not placed within the guide.

• Place the disc with the playback side down.

• The batteries in the remote control are exhausted.
• Remove the obstacle.
• Replace the batteries with new ones.
Video tape cannot be inserted. • Is the cassette compartment empty? • Eject the tape in.
No Hi-Fi sound • Audio mode is not set properly. Select "STEREO" by repeatedly pressing "AUDIO" on the remote control.
