Getting to know your phone

  • Phone overview: Familiarize yourself with the navigation keys, soft keys, and other buttons like the Send key, SIM Switch Key, End/Power key, Camera key, Hotline SMS service key, Microphone, and Charger/USB port.
  • Installing the SIM Cards: Learn how to remove the back cover, insert the SIM card with the gold contact area facing downwards, insert the battery, and replace the back cover.
  • Charging the phone: Connect the charger to an electrical outlet and ensure the battery is fully charged before first use.
  • Turning Your Phone On/Off: Press and hold the End/Power key to power the phone on or off.

Calls

  • Making a call: Enter the number using the keypad and press the call key.
  • Making a call from your contacts: Select Contacts, enter the first letter of the contact, scroll, and press the call key.
  • Answering and rejecting a call: Press the call key to answer or select Silent/Reject to decline.
  • Using the speakerphone: Press RSK (H-Free) during a call.
  • Viewing your call logs: Access logs via Menu > Logs.

Contacts

  • Searching for a contact: Select Contacts, enter the first letter, and scroll.
  • Adding a new contact: Select Contacts, Add new contact, choose To SIM or To Phone, enter details, and Save.

Messaging

  • Sending a message: Menu > Messaging > Write message. Enter recipients and message content using T9, Abc, or 123 modes.
  • Entering text: Use T9, Abc, or 123 modes and switch with the # key.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Message Possible causes Possible solutions
SIM card error The phone does not have a SIM card or it was inserted incorrectly. Ensure that the SIM card is correctly inserted.
No network connection / Loss of network Signal is weak or outside the operator's network. Move closer to a window or an open space. Consult the network operator's coverage map.
No network connection / Loss of network The operator has applied new services. Check if the SIM card is more than 6 to 12 months old. If so, replace the SIM card at the nearest branch of your network provider. Contact the respective service provider.
Codes do not match To change a security code, you must confirm the new code by entering it again. If you forget the code, contact your service provider.
Codes do not match The two codes entered do not match. -
Unavailable calls Dialling error The new network is not authorized.
Unavailable calls A new SIM card was inserted. Check for new restrictions.
Unavailable calls The prepaid limit has been reached. Contact the service provider or replenish the limit with PIN 2.
Cannot turn on the phone The On/Off key was pressed too briefly. Press the On/Off key for at least two seconds.
Cannot turn on the phone The battery is not charged. Charge the battery. Check the charge indicator on the screen.
Charging error The battery is not charged. Charge the battery.
Charging error The external temperature is too high or too cold. Ensure that the phone is charging at normal temperatures.
Charging error Contact problem Check the charger and its connection to the phone.
Charging error No power Plug the charger into a different outlet.
Charging error Charger problem Replace the charger.
Charging error Wrong charger Use only genuine LG accessories.
No sound Vibration mode Check the sound setting in the sound menu to ensure it is not in vibration or silent mode.
