Assembling and Preparing

  • Unpack components and verify all parts are present.
  • Assemble the stand by attaching the stand base to the stand body and securing it with screws.
  • Connect the monitor to a power source and a PC via HDMI or DisplayPort.
  • Use the joystick button to navigate the On-Screen Display (OSD) menu for settings adjustments.

Using the Monitor

  • Connect to a PC using HDMI or DisplayPort for video and audio signals.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Issue Possible Cause Solution
Nothing is displayed on the screen. Monitor's power cord not plugged in. Check if the power cord is correctly plugged into the power outlet.
Power cable connection issue. Check the power cable connection and press the power button.
Connected input is not enabled. Check that the connected input is enabled (Menu > Quick Settings > Input).
Monitor is in sleep mode. Move the mouse, or press any key on the keyboard, to switch the display on.
Computer is turned off. Check if the computer is turned on.
OUT OF RANGE message being displayed. Signals are out of the horizontal or vertical frequency range. See the Product Specification section to set the appropriate frequency.
No Signal message being displayed. Signal cable is missing or disconnected. Check the cable and reconnect it.
OSD lock message is being displayed. OSD is locked. Go to Menu > General and set OSD Lock to Off.
The screen retains an image. Displaying a still image for a prolonged time. Use a screensaver to extend the lifetime of the monitor.
Screen display is unstable and shaky / Images displayed on the monitor leave shadow trails. Inappropriate resolution selected. If the selected resolution is HDMI 1080i 60/50 Hz (interlaced), change to 1080P or the recommended resolution.
The display color is abnormal. Color setting is not 24 bit (true color) or higher. Set the color to 24 bit or higher. In Windows, go to Control Panel > Display > Settings > Color Quality.
Signal cable connection issue. Check if the signal cable is connected properly. Reconnect the cable or reinsert the PC's graphics card.
Unrecognized monitor, Plug&Play message. Display driver not installed. Install the display driver from the CD or download it from http://www.lg.com.
No sound from the headphone port or speaker. Volume too low or audio output not set correctly. Increase volume on the monitor. Set PC audio output to the monitor.
