Warranty Information
Makita offers a one-year limited warranty against defects in workmanship and materials.
Switch Action: Slide lever to 'I' (ON) to start, 'O' (OFF) to stop. Can be locked ON for extended use.
Electric Brake: Tool stops quickly when switch is released. Service if it fails.
Speed Adjusting Dial (3612C only): Adjust speed from 1 to 5 for material and bit size. Do not force past 1 or 5.
Installing/Removing Bit: Ensure tool is OFF and unplugged. Use provided wrench to tighten/loosen collet nut. Use collet sleeve for smaller shank bits.
Operation: Place base on workpiece without bit touching. Turn ON and wait for full speed. Lower tool body to desired depth. Move tool forward smoothly. For edge cutting, workpiece is on the left.
Guides: Straight guide, trimmer guide, templet guide, and pattern guide assist in making accurate cuts.
