Makita offers a one-year warranty against defects in workmanship and materials from the original purchase date.
Starting the Tool: Pull the trigger to start. Release to stop. Always ensure the switch returns to the "OFF" position when released. Before plugging in, check switch functionality.
Operation: Place the tool base on the workpiece. Turn on and wait for full speed. Lower the tool body, keeping the base flush, and move forward smoothly. For edge cutting, workpiece should be to the left of the bit in the feed direction. A sample cut on scrap lumber is recommended to check cut quality and dimensions.
Straight Guide: Used for straight cuts. Insert guide bars, adjust distance, and tighten wing bolts. Move the tool with the guide flush to the workpiece side. If the workpiece side is not straight or the distance is too great, clamp a straight board as a guide.
Templet Guide: For use with templet patterns. Loosen screws on the tool base, insert templet guide, and tighten screws. Secure templet to workpiece and slide the templet guide along its side.
