Makita tools are warranted free of defects for ONE YEAR from the original purchase date.
Switch Action: To start, pull the switch trigger. Release to stop. Ensure the tool is off and unplugged before any adjustments.
Installing/Removing Bit: Insert bit fully into the collet cone and tighten securely with two wrenches. Reverse for removal. Never tighten the collet nut without a bit, as it can break the collet cone.
Dust Nozzle: For clean operation, attach the dust nozzle to the base and connect a vacuum cleaner.
Operation: Place the tool base on the workpiece without the bit touching. Turn on the tool and wait for full speed. Lower the tool body and move forward smoothly, keeping the base flush. For edge cutting, the workpiece should be on the left of the bit in the feed direction.
