Ensure the tool is switched OFF and unplugged. Loosen the collet nut, insert the bit fully into the collet cone, press the shaft lock to keep the shaft stationary, and tighten the collet nut securely. Use the correct size collet cone for the bit shank. To remove, reverse the process. CAUTION: Do not tighten the collet nut without a bit inserted, as it can break the collet cone.
Place the tool on a flat surface. Loosen the lock knob and lower the tool body until the bit just touches the surface. Tighten the lock knob. Turn the stopper pole setting nut counterclockwise and lower the stopper pole until it contacts the adjusting bolt. Align the depth pointer with "0". To set the desired depth, press the fast-feed button and raise the stopper pole. Fine adjustments can be made with the adjusting knob. Turn the stopper pole setting nut clockwise to secure. The predetermined depth is achieved by loosening the lock knob and lowering the tool body until the stopper pole contacts the adjusting bolt.
Ensure the switch trigger operates correctly and returns to OFF. Release the shaft lock before turning on. To start, press the lock button and pull the switch trigger. Release the trigger to stop. For continuous operation, pull the trigger and depress the lock button further. To stop, pull the trigger so the lock-off button returns, then release the trigger.
Infinitely adjustable speed from 8,000 to 24,000 min⁻¹ for optimum material processing. Refer to the table for number settings and speeds. CAUTION: Do not force the dial beyond settings 5 or 1.
