Camera Setup and Operation:

  1. Insert Battery: Pull the battery chamber cover latch, insert the correct 6V battery (4SR44 or 4LR44), ensuring correct pole alignment.
  2. Attach Lens: Align the lens alignment dot with the camera body's dot, insert, and twist clockwise until it clicks.
  3. Attach Finder: Align the white dot on the finder release button with the finder's white dot, push and release the button, then attach the finder to the camera body.
  4. Load Film: Open the back cover, insert the film roll into the film spool stud, align the start mark on the leader paper, attach the leader paper to the take-up spool, and close the back cover.
  5. Advance Film & Cock Shutter: Turn the film advance crank until it stops.
  6. Take Photo: Press the shutter release button.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Problem Possible Cause & Solution
Shutter release button will not move A) Unlock shutter release button.
B) Ensure film advance crank is turned to the stop position.
Mirror is locked in the up position (Cannot see through finder) A) Check battery: ensure it is correctly inserted, of the right type, and has sufficient charge. Press battery check button to lower mirror.
B) If mirror lock-up lever was used, raise it.
C) If shutter was released at the ◎ position, move dial to B or 1/1000 sec.
Developed film has fewer frames than expected A) Align start marks correctly when inserting film roll.
B) Ensure film and insert start marks are properly aligned.
PD Prism Finder LED's do not illuminate Ensure the shutter speed dial is not set to the ◎ position.
Electric shock when using flash Always keep safety covers on unused terminals when attaching flash units.
