Starting Up

  1. Set up the appliance on a stable, level surface.
  2. Plug in the power cord.
  3. Fill the bean container with fresh coffee beans.
  4. Fill the water tank with fresh tap water.
  5. Turn on the appliance using the ON/OFF button. The appliance will perform an automatic rinse.
  6. Adjust the coffee quantity and strength as desired.

Brewing Coffee

  1. Place a cup under the spout.
  2. Select desired coffee strength.
  3. Adjust coffee amount using the control dial.
  4. Press the button for a single or double serving.

Turning Off

  1. Place a cup under the spout.
  2. Press the ON/OFF button. The appliance performs an automatic rinse and shuts down.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Fault Cause Remedy
Coffee only flows in drops. Grinding degree too fine. Adjust to a coarser grinding degree. Clean the brew unit. If necessary, run the descaling program. If necessary, run the cleaning program.
Coffee does not flow. Water tank not filled or not inserted correctly. Fill the water tank, ensuring it is correctly positioned.
The grinder does not grind coffee beans. Brew unit clogged. Clean the brew unit.
Beans do not fall into the grinder (beans too oily). Tap the bean container. Tap the bean container.
Loud noise from the grinder. Foreign objects in the grinder. Contact the hotline.
Coffee bean symbols flash even though the bean container is full. Foreign objects in the grinder. Insufficiently ground beans in the brew chamber. Contact the hotline. Press the button for a single or double serving.
The display shows the symbol . Air in the internal tubes. Fill the water tank if necessary and press the coffee strength button. The pump is activated. Once vented, the appliance is ready for use.
