Warranty Summary
Midland Radio Corporation warrants this Midland FRS/GMRS transceiver for three years against defects in material or workmanship under normal use.
Basic Operation Summary:
- Power ON/OFF and Volume: Rotate the POWER/VOLUME knob clockwise to turn on and adjust volume. Counter-clockwise to turn off.
- Transmit a Call: Set radios to the same channel and privacy code. Hold PTT button and speak into microphone.
- Receive a Call: Release PTT button to receive. RX icon appears when receiving.
- Channel Selection: Press MENU button once, use ▲/▼ buttons to select channel, confirm with PTT or MENU.
- NOAA Weather Scan: Press and hold MENU for 5 seconds to scan weather channels.
- Monitor: Hold MONITOR button for 1 second to hear noise and adjust volume.
- Scan: Quickly press SCAN button to scan channels for activity.
Troubleshooting and error codes

| No Power | Check battery installation and/or replace batteries. |
| Cannot Receive Messages | Confirm the radios have the same channel settings. Make sure that you are within range. Buildings may interfere. (See ABOUT RANGE on Page 7) |
| Radio is not responding to button presses | Make sure key lock is not on (See KEYPAD LOCK on Page 9). Radio might need reset. Turn radio off then on. |
| Display is dim | Recharge or replace batteries. |
| Charger not functioning | Contacts on the back of the radio may require cleaning. Ensure outlet is functioning. Check battery pack installation. |
