  • Turning the cooktop On/Off: Use the control knob to turn the burner on by turning it to the right or left. To turn it off, turn the knob to the left to "0".
  • Turning the Variable/Extended burner On/Off: Turn the respective control knob to the right and past "12" to the designated symbol. Then turn the knob left to the desired setting. To switch off, turn the knob to "0".
  • Residual Heat Indicator: The On/Off indicator lights up when a zone is switched on. The residual heat indicator lights up after the On/Off indicator. It goes out when the cooking zone is safe to touch.
  • Settings: A table provides recommended power levels for various cooking tasks, from melting butter to boiling large quantities of water.
  • Overheat Protection: Each cooking zone has a temperature limiter that automatically turns off the heating element if it becomes too hot. It will turn back on once the surface cools.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Possible fault Solution
The appliance does not heat up after it is turned on. The circuit breaker has tripped. Check whether a fuse is blown. If the problem persists contact Miele.
A heating element turns off then on again. The overheating protection has activated. See "Overheating protection".
Items are taking too long to boil. Check the performance of a cooking zone (see "Check performance").
