Guide to the cooktop

The cooktop features various burners: Wok, Auxiliary, Fast, and Normal. Each burner has specific components like the burner cap, ring, head, base, ignitor, and ignition safety control. Control knobs are used to operate the burners, with specific symbols indicating different flame settings.

Using the cooktop

The Fast-Ignition-System allows for quick lighting of burners, with automatic reignition if the flame goes out. To turn a burner on, press down the control knob and turn it counter-clockwise to the largest flame symbol. Adjust the flame strength by turning the knob. To turn off, turn the knob clockwise. Special care is needed for the wok burner's dual flame control. Use pans of appropriate size to avoid damaging the surrounding countertop and for efficient heating. Safety features include a cut-off if the flame goes out and re-ignition fails. In case of a power failure, the gas can be ignited with a match.

Cleaning and care

Regular cleaning of grates, knobs, ceramic surface, and burners is essential. Use mild cleaning solutions and avoid abrasive materials. Specific instructions are provided for dismantling and reassembling burners, including for the wok burner.

Frequently asked questions

Troubleshooting tips are provided for issues such as burners not igniting, flames going out, igniters not working, or unusual flame appearance. For complex issues, contact Miele Technical Service.

Installation

Installation requires adherence to safety distances and proper gas and electrical connections. Ensure adequate ventilation and use appropriate installation methods to prevent fire hazards. Gas connection involves a pressure regulator and must comply with relevant codes. Electrical connection requires a grounded outlet and a 15A fuse.

Converting to another type of gas

The cooktop can be converted between natural gas and LP gas. This involves adjusting the regulator and changing orifices and needle valves. This process must be performed by a qualified technician using a conversion kit, and the appliance must be checked for leaks and proper operation afterward.
