Guide to the Appliance

  • Appliance Types: Freestanding, Integrated ("i"), and Built-under ("U") models.
  • Key Components: Identifies upper and lower spray arms, cutlery tray, baskets, salt reservoir, detergent dispenser, rinse aid reservoir, control panel features (temperature, drying, programme selectors), and indicator lights.

Before Using for the First Time

  • Water Softener: Set according to local water hardness and fill salt reservoir with dishwasher salt (never powder detergent).
  • Rinse Aid: Fill reservoir with rinse aid formulated for domestic dishwashers.
  • Detergent: Use only detergent formulated for domestic dishwashers.
  • Loading: Arrange crockery to ensure water contact on all surfaces; avoid blocking spray arms.
  • Programme Selection: Choose programmes based on crockery type and soiling.

Operation

  • Opening/Closing Door: Use the release catch to open; push baskets in and lift door to close. Child safety lock can be engaged.
  • Water Softener: Set hardness level and fill salt reservoir. Salt indicator will light when empty.
  • Rinse Aid: Fill reservoir when indicator light is on; adjust dosage as needed.
  • Loading: Place items to maximize cleaning coverage, invert hollow items, and ensure spray arms are not blocked.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Possible Cause Remedy
The appliance is not working The appliance is not switched on.
The appliance is not running. The door has not been closed properly.
No water is entering the appliance. The stopcock is not open.
The appliance is not filling with water or is only filling with a little water.
The stopcock is not open. Open the stopcock.
The inlet hose is kinked or bent. Ensure the inlet hose is not kinked or bent.
The stopcock is blocked or the water supply is too low. Check the stopcock and water supply. If the water pressure is too low, the water intake time must be increased (see chapter “Checking the water level”).
The appliance is not emptying or is only emptying a little water.
The drain hose is kinked or bent. Ensure the drain hose is not kinked or bent.
The drain filter is blocked. Clean the drain filter (see chapter “Cleaning and care”).
The site drainage is blocked. Check the site drainage.
The appliance is not washing properly.
Crockery is not clean. The spray arms are blocked.
The spray arms are blocked. Clean the spray arms (see chapter “Cleaning and care”).
The crockery is loaded too tightly. Ensure crockery is loaded correctly so that water can reach all surfaces.
The detergent dispenser is too dirty or blocked. Clean the detergent dispenser.
The dosage of detergent is incorrect. Ensure the correct amount of detergent is used.
The selected programme is not suitable for the degree of soiling. Choose a more intensive programme if necessary.
White residue on crockery/glasses.
The salt reservoir is empty. Fill the salt reservoir (see chapter “Water softener”).
The water hardness level is set too high. Adjust the water hardness level (see chapter “Water softener”).
The rinse aid reservoir is empty. Fill the rinse aid reservoir (see chapter “Adding rinse aid”).
The rinse aid dosage is set too low. Increase the rinse aid dosage (see chapter “Adding rinse aid”).
A dishwasher salt and rinse aid combination product is being used. Dishwasher salt and rinse aid are separate products. Do not use combination products.
Discolouration on plastics.
Certain foodstuffs contain natural dyes. This is harmless and does not affect the stability of the plastic items.
Appliance not switching on.
The appliance is not connected to the mains supply. Ensure the appliance is properly connected to the mains supply. Check the fuse in your household electrical system.
The appliance is only partially emptying.
The drain hose is not correctly installed. Ensure the drain hose is correctly installed and not kinked. Ensure the vent valve is cut if necessary.
Water is leaking from the appliance.
The appliance is not installed correctly. Ensure the appliance is installed correctly and all connections are secure. Check the seal on the top edge of the appliance.
The inlet hose or drain hose is damaged. Inspect hoses for damage and replace if necessary.
