Operation Summary

The Miele freezer is operated using the symbol on the display. Briefly touching the symbol navigates menus, while holding it activates functions. Holding for 3 seconds switches the appliance on/off or exits sub-menus. Holding for 7 seconds opens the sub-menu. The appliance has a main menu for temperature settings (-16°C, -18°C, -20°C, -28°C) and SuperFreeze, and a sub-menu for lock function, Sabbath mode, and resetting to factory defaults. The display has an idle mode to prevent inadvertent changes. LEDs indicate appliance status, temperature, or faults. Safety features include a lock function, temperature alarm, door alarm, and power failure alarm.

Troubleshooting and error codes

Malfunction Possible Cause Remedy
Temperature alarm sounds, all 5 LEDs flash The temperature in the freezer zone is too high. Check whether the food has started to thaw or has defrosted. Use as soon as possible. Defrosted food may only be refrozen after cooking. Rectify the cause of the alarm.
Door alarm sounds The appliance door has been left open for a long time. Close the appliance door.
Power failure alarm A power failure has occurred. Check the food; use if it has not thawed. Ensure the appliance is switched on after power is restored.
