Warranty Information

Refer to the Miele website for the most current warranty information.

Before Use

Clean the interior and accessories with mild soapy water. Allow the appliance to stand upright for 8 hours if transported horizontally.

Turning the Appliance On/Off

Open the door. Turn the appliance on/off using the main switch located under the control panel. The interior lights come on when the door is open. Allow factory-preset temperatures to be reached before loading food.

Settings

Use touch keys to operate. Touch the access button "I" to enter settings mode. Buttons allow temperature adjustment, SuperCool selection, and ice maker control. Touch "I" again to exit.

Temperature and Door Alarm

The appliance has an always-on alarm system. An alarm sounds if the temperature rises too high or the door is left open for 5 minutes. The alarm can be silenced early by pressing the "alarm" sensor button.

Setting the Temperature

Touch the access button "I". Use the "V" and "∧" buttons to adjust the temperature between 7°F and -11°F (-14°C to -24°C). For freezing, 0°F (-18°C) is suggested.

Freezing Food

Freeze fresh food quickly. Never refreeze thawed food. For large quantities, use the SuperCool function. Spread food evenly for faster freezing. Ensure packaging is dry.

Defrosting

Frozen food can be defrosted in a microwave, at room temperature, in the refrigerator, or in a steam oven. Follow specific hygiene guidelines for poultry.

Cooling Drinks Quickly

Use the SuperCool function. Do not leave bottles in the freezer for more than 1 hour.

Ice Cube Maker

Ensure the ice cube container is in place. Touch the ice maker sensor button to turn it on. The first three containers of ice or ice produced in the first 24 hours should be discarded.

Automatic Defrost

The freezer defrosts automatically.
